There is a Windows ASIO driver available if you want to use it on a PC. I'm using beyer dt700 pro x headphones which are 48 ohm, I generally use Spotify** A: Using an older iPhone, but I would say it does amplify the sound overall but not hugely. Unfortunately the hard wired lightning connector was too fragile for my use (belt holstered iPhone). Upgrade to the KA3 which although it sounds even better and has a replaceable cable brings a whole new set of (power drain) issues.
