The stock park was no longer capable of holding the hood open in a slight breeze, but this one is strong enough to lift it from about 3/4 up and hold it in wind. The car only required one gas spring, and I was worried that one might not be strong enough as it is sold in a pair, and older models use both, but it has faired well so far. Installation was very easy once I worked out how to pry open the clips with a flathead screwdriver. It does make a strange sound when closing the hood that the original didn't, but the original was busted, so we will see how this pans out.
