He can comfortably get inside and out, and can fit 3 large cushions on the floor (not overlapping!) so it's a decent size. You'd need quite a big sized room to keep this open all the time without it getting in the way, so we only put it up on weekends and then put it away during the week. It's really easy to assemble (although i'd suggest doing it when the child is not around as that definitely adds a level of unecessary complexity!) and, once you figure it out, folds neatly back in the bag. The little windows are a cute feature as he loves to peek through them. Quality is not mindblowing (it needs to be thin enough to be able to easily fold away) so you definitely don't want it to go anywhere near anything pointy but it does the job and if you look after it i think it could last a good amount of time.
