Some of our customers feel it has a rose hue to it and it depends on the metal sheet that it came from. Because the scissors are a stainless steel and then given the gold color they are darker gold and have a rose hue to them. They blend nicely. I hope you give them a try as they are high quality pieces. **Q: Are these items yellow gold or rose gold?** A: Thank you for your question. The scissors are a rose gold. They are stainless steel and are then plated with the gold. This leaves a darker gold rose color. The staple remover is a more true gold but has a rose hue to it. They blend well together and if you don't mind a touch of rose then I believe you will like the set. I hope give them a try. **Q: Are the numbers on the ruler etched? Are they numbers hard to see on white paper?** A: The numbers and lines on the rulers are etched. The etching is white. They are almost impossible to see on white paper. **Q: Can you just buy the ruler?** A: Unfortunately at this time we do not sell the ruler separately. The scissors and staple remover are wonderful. Possibly you could gift them to someone close to you if you do decide to move forward with the purchase. I hope we have you as a customer soon. We guarantee all of our products. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Pretty and Sturdy *by on Reviewed in the United States July 16, 2026* These items were more sturdy than I was expecting and came in a decorative box that would be perfect for gift giving. Given their feel, I would say they are a more than fair price and the clear/gold color scheme adds a feminine, modern touch to my office. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Beautiful set *by on Reviewed in the United States February 12, 2026* Goes perfectly with my baby pink / gold theme in my home office. The scissors don't just look pretty either; they are sharp! The rules and staple remover work as expected. This is a high quality set and well worth the money. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing set and customer service! *by on Reviewed in the United States February 21, 2018* I'm updating this review to reflect the whole set and the stellar customer service from this seller! The set itself is beautiful - in a previous review I said the screw holding the scissors together was coming loose during use, but the seller worked with me to quickly replace the pair. The color is a little darker than the other items but it is explained by the steel under gold plating, and they are definitely strong and cut well.I love the ruler and staple remover, and also have the acrylic box, stapler and tape dispenser sold by them. Overall these items have served me well and everyone who sees my desk comments on how pretty they are. I am very happy with the 100% guarantee and will be buying again to give as gifts! Thanks for a great set! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.us/products/43746494-officegoods-3-piece-acrylic-desk-set-clear-with-gold-metal](https://www.desertcart.us/products/43746494-officegoods-3-piece-acrylic-desk-set-clear-with-gold-metal) --- *Product available on Desertcart United States of America* *Store origin: US* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
