This is a very slimming, flattering skirt. I usually wear a 2 or 4, and I ended up with the size small. My waist measures 26.5 inches, and in the XS, there was no room to tuck in a shirt. The small is slightly loose, but not so much that it will be a problem. The rest of the skirt is A-line, so measure your natural waist for proper fit. Tricky to fit *by M***N on July 27, 2021* I really love this skirt! I purchased the blue and it is a true royal blue - nice and vibrant. I love the price, the color, pleats, the pockets, the length, and that it is lined. It even has room for wearing a petticoat underneath. However, I fell in between two sizes - M and L - with my natural waist measuring 29.25 inches. I purchased the large and it was definitely too big and with the pleats and the liner it seemed like it would be difficult to take it in. I returned it for the medium and unfortunately, it was just too snug. It would be even worse if I wanted to tuck a blouse in. The material has absolutely no stretch at all. I'm used to sizing having only 1-inch difference so the fact that there is a difference of more than 2 inches between the sizing makes it hard to fit. Again, resizing an overly large skirt that has pleats and a liner is no small undertaking thus I will have to pass.
