Review: Works great - This plastic wiping tool works great. It is easy to assemble and super easy to clean. It slightly bent on one end where the little plastic fingers come out. With very little effort you can place folded up toilet paper and wipe. Then hit the release lever and drop the dirty paper right in the toilet without mess. It is perfect for when you cannot reach around to clean your rear area. I had back surgery and have found this invaluable during my recovery.

While it's wonderful and freeing to be able to go to work, go shopping, go out to dinner, visit friends or even go on a trip overnight or longer without worrying about getting truly clean, there's a small problem. The construction is such that bodily substances can get on the wand and into the seam, and on the fingers of the wand if your wipe or TP tears, and it's a pain to truly clean the wand when you're in a public restroom. My suggestion is that if you intend on using it while out and about, buy thin plastic bags, like the Liners Compatible for use in Littermaid Waste Receptacles - Trash Liners 200/pack to use as covers over the wand. The bag also helps with disposing of the wipe if you can't flush it. The pouch holds the three pieces of the wand, a roll of the bags (the liners come in 4 rolls of 50) and a package of Cottonelle Fresh Care Flushable Cleansing Cloths, 504 Cloths . It fits in a larger purse or tote bag, so you can go out and even go on overnight adventures and not worry about your hygiene.

**Q: Can toilet wet wipes be used with this?**
A: depending on thickness of wet wipe it may not grab well; I layer 1 square of TP with the wipe and grab the TP side.  push them both well into the fingers as you retract them.  I find if you push the paper/wipe back over the end it doesn't have material flopping all over and gets to the right position to clean best.

A: Freedom Wand is a very useful aid for bum wiping when you can no longer reach the area easily. The wand holds the normal toilet paper firmly in its jaws and the extension gives you that extra reach without struggling.After wiping simply push the slide button to open the jaws while holding the wand over the toilet bowl and the soiled paper falls into the bowl then flush the toilet in the normal manner and when the water is clean rinse the wand jaws in the bowl.This procedure is clean and hygienic and gives you dignity and independence. I also have a second wand which is useful in applying ointment to my feet and back.

I bought this product in spite of some of the poor reviews, hoping the good reviews were more accurate...not so. The idea for this is great, but the execution, not at all. The grip is ridiculously loose and almost pointless. I watched the video, tried things a million ways, and never received even minimal results. as soon as you receive it there is a giant pink sticker on it that says "No Returns" so this immediately put me on the defense thinking "so if it's a crappy product, you're just stuck with it", and I am. Total total total waste. chunked in the garbage, and am out $40.00. What has changed my life was a portable bidet. Havent felt this fresh and clean in years. Wonderful and very economical.
