Can someone confirm?** A: This brush IS just boar bristles & I was confused by that one commenter's post that it had nylon quills. It does NOT. There IS a Denman brush that does but its description clearly indicates "nylon pins". For the record, I own that brush also & it has boar bristles with a nylon pin in the center of each cluster of bristles. I use the 100% boar bristle brush for smoothing & on my delicate edges & the boar bristles with nylon pins for reaching my scalp thru my very thick hair. The 100% boar bristle brush will not penetrate thick hair so choose carefully based on your hair density & styling needs or buy both for each need like I did. I do feel like it help distribute the oil in the hair well and therefore makes the hair look really shiny and soft. I bought this for my daughter who has fairly straight hair and it works well for her. The only thing to keep in mind is the synthetic bristles are VERY sharp and pointy so you have to be careful not to scratch the skin with them.
