## Description

Hearing loss from loud sound affects millions of people, but noise-induced hearing loss is preventable! ER20XS high-fidelity earplugs reduce sound levels while preserving sound quality and clarity. ER20XS earplugs are configured to replicate the natural response of the ear, so sound quality is the same as the original, only quieter. Music, voices and other sounds are clear--not muffled--making ER20XS ideal for concerts, clubs, theaters, aircraft, construction, yard work, airshows, parades, and athletic or motorsports events. The new low-profile, stem-less design fits snugly in the outer ear without protruding, making ER20XS comfortable to wear under hats, helmets, and other headgear. The standard-size eartips fit the majority of ears. ER20XS earplugs are reusable, but with repeated use, the eartips may lose elasticity. For best performance and retention, if you use your ER20XS earplugs frequently, replace the eartips every 3-6 months. ER20XS are not recommended for use with impulse noises such as gunfire, or for sleeping.

Review: A bit uncomfortable, but reliable - I have tried several ear plugs (Hearos, Earos (avoid), Earasers) and honestly, this is the brand I keep coming back to. The flanged tips are honestly not comfortable, but for half the price of other HD earplugs, these give a listening experience just as good. With my slightly poor hearing in high ranges, other brands can kill the vibrant highs, but the ER20XS (reviewed here) and the ER20 before them are worthy options that don't aggravate or draw attention to my tinnitus even in a quiet room. As far as I know, the XS just means they're lower profile, meaning they stick out less. The sound is similar. The universal size package is convenient if you don't know your size. I had to use a different size for each ear because mine are irregular.
Review: They work well for me. - These work very well for me. I got them mostly for when I see bands in small venues or even larger concerts. Just wanted some hearing protection. They fit well and really block out a lot of the harsh sounds and frequencies without being muffled. I used the larger size tips for me. I found wetting them a bit before inserting them helps a lot. I honestly don't know what the foam tips are for and I don't use them. I also don't use the case that came with these. Instead I got a cylindrical metal case that I can attach to my keychain so these are always with me if I need them. Make sure to clean them after use so they're always ready for the next time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They work well for me.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Different from the earplugs I've had before. Definitely not for everyone. Recommended
*by D***R on January 25, 2019*

If you're looking for earplugs that have the maximum ability to suppress sound, these are not what you're looking for. Generally speaking, I've consistently bought and used foam earplugs. While good for muffling all sound, foam isn't good if you still want to be able to hear at a lower volume. At a club, for example, I may not care at all to hear what's going on, but I WOULD want to hear what's going on at a concert (without going deaf). I decided it was time to look into flanged earplugs, but wasn't sure what to get. Not knowing anything, I first started looking into Eargasm earplugs. Since this was meant to be an experiment, I wasn't quite ready to spend that much. With a little more effort I found this product. I didn't know what size I was, so I got the universal fit. Subsequent purchases can be for just the correct size. The item is pretty comfortable to wear, as the silicone is soft enough, and the curvature of the flanges rolls inward just so. Sound is still clear, but just not as loud. It's actually quite surprising. The volume attenuation reduces the perceived volume by around 50%. That's not as much as you might think. At a really loud venue these may not be enough, but they've worked well for me. Based on my experience, I think these are well worth buying. I would say that if you don't know how high the SPL will get, make sure you bring a backup set of foam plugs (just in case). Highly recommended
