## Questions & Answers

**Q: Are these already waxed and ready to use?**
A: They are waxed. However, every wick from the batch I ordered was bad. They soot and sputter like crazy. I almost had a fire because it threw sparks about 5 feet away onto a roll of paper towels.

**Q: What size container should I use with this size wick?**
A: Best I remember the wicks burn about 3" in diameter.  If your container is much bigger in diameter that that, you might want to use 2 or 3 wicks.

**Q: Are the wicks dipped in soy wax, or some other wax?**
A: These are coated in Paraffin wax. The only other thing these are made with is cotton (on the inner layer of the wicks). This was a great question! I hope this helps! :)

**Q: Is this a good for tea lights or votive size? Thanks**
A: You’ll be able to cut the wicks to the size you’d need for tea  or votive candles but you may be able to find a shorter size in a larger quantity for a similar price rather than wasting so much of the 8 inch wick

These were great for what I was doing with the candles

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stayed lit, easy to use but didn’t burn evenly

I really wanted to try, making homemade candles because all of the chemicals that are in store-bought ones. I made this little practice tin and used the wicks. It was very easy to use and the adhesive was nice when pouring the wax it held up nicely and the wick holder was a nice addition. On the first strike when lighting with the lighter it was nice and it stayed lit until I blew it out, which it was about 4 to 6 hours but it only burned the center after all those hours like it was barreling a whole only in the center it didn’t spread out to the rest of the tin. Now this could just be user error on my end. Maybe I should’ve put two wicks in there but I didn’t think it was necessary, because the tin about 3 inches in diameter. I’m glad I am testing these out before I put them in my real candleholders, but I will just have to play around with it and see what works. Maybe two or three are needed other than that it does burn well and there’s no bad scent that comes off of it so you can take your chances it’s just all about how you set up your wicks in your candles.
