I found its results clearer than when fitting with Prussian blue. I used it to fit an Ed Brown pistol barrel to a 1911 pistol. The barrels are machined slightly oversize to accomodate fitting into 1911s from different manufacturers, so finding the high spots and filing them was part of the installation. They recommended using a black marker, assembling, and looking for removed marker. I couldn't get the fit until I used Hi-Spot Blue, which made finding the high spots easy. My only complaint is that for a tinkerer like me, this is a two-lifetime's supply. (Since it is non-drying, it will probably be fine at the estate sale.) I'd like a small container about one quarter as large.
