Don't know the rating though. Thin as you would expect a cheap little poncho. There's either 2 or 3 snaps per side, ones just under the arm to create the arm hole and one at the bottom corners. The longer review is that I used this pancho on the Camino de Santiago. It drizzled continuously for hours on end during my walk. I had a hiking shirt and backpack underneath no jacket because it wasn’t cold. My shirt got moist in the areas that had contact with the pancho. It wasn’t drenched, but as I said I was only dealing with constant drizzle and not torrential rain. The pancho has a pouch in front. As an experiment during my walk I put a completely dry napkin in the pouch and about 3 hours later when I stopped for coffee I checked the napkin. It was moist but not dripping wet. I was unable to squeeze any water off of it. So it had similar moisture accumulation as my shirt I was wearing.
