Hangs correctly from the belt. Holds about 10 ounces maybe almost 12. But it is heavy and larger than I wanted. I'm keeping it for Halloween and Ren fests but wish it had been more petite since I am a very small lady at 4'11". But it will work. The holder is kinda cheap looking but at first glance looks very cool. A closer inspection and you see that it's not leather and made of thin material.
