Update***The first couple of days we had this she played with it non stop all day long. Unfortunately after the magic of the new toy wore off she seemed less interested in playing with the ice castle set up. I decided to try letting her just do her own thing with the pieces and sat down with her letting my imagination go wild as well. I was surprised with how many different things we could build and all of a sudden my daughter showed great interest in this set again at times getting it out on her own to play. So overall, I feel like this is a great set for imaginative play but also provides many opportunities to build just on its own. Combined with other lego Duplo sets the possibilities are limitless. This can be played with by kids up to age 5 but I think it is especially great for the younger toddler as an introduction to imaginative play. I have a seven year old granddaughter who still likes to play with it when her three year old sister lets her near her Duplos! Four and a half is at the pre-Lego age as they aren't quite ready for those yet.
