Review: Works for toe curling from anxiety. - So I didn’t get this for the same reason as everybody else. I got this because I have a bad anxiety tick or whatever you wanna call it ,where I curl my toes really bad while I’m doing stuff like if I’m concentrating on something, my toes are constantly curling, and it has absolutely destroyed the top of my toes. I can’t even wear open toed shoes without socks. Anyways, I was hoping this would help me. I have tried toe covers. I’ve tried toe separators. I’ve tried everything. This is the only thing that is comfortable enough for me to wear all the time and it stops me from curling them. I am very impressed and happy with them and I’m hoping that this will just make me break the habit where I don’t even have to have them eventually. It’s pretty comfortable, doesn’t slide right off like the covers, I have a small foot and it fits but it also has an adjustable strap thing for the toe that stretches and works well. This specific thing it works very well.

**Q: do this really straighten the hammer toe?...has anyone seen some improvement?**
A: I did two things: I reduced the thickness of the nail on the hammertoe and I wore this appliance. At first, the toe seemed to be less painful and by the second day it was definitely less painful. Now the pain is virtually gone and I don’t wear the appliance anymore. 
Yes, i do believe it has straightened two toes enough to look pretty normal. I would recommend getting this and using it. I think you will be glad you did.

**Q: Does it fit the big toe?**
A: I've only used it on the toe next to the big toe.  I don't think It would fit on the big toe.  It provides minor relief while wearing it, but after 8-10 weeks the only time the toe is straighter and not as painful is when brace is on.  I also have found that I, more quickly then before,  get a callous near the ball of my foot,  not sure if its related to the pad.   Good luck!

**Q: Should the elastic be cut after adjusting for fit, and how much should be left on under the splint?**
A: I didn't cut mine yet but when I do I'll adjust it first then leave enough to adjust when I have to.

**Q: Can this be used for non displaced fracture**
A: I'm no doctor. I'll describe, you decide. The elastic that goes around the toe us adjusted each time to make it tight enough that the toe lays flat. It does nothing for sideway alignment. I wear it for about 2 hours, not all day as you would need to do with a fracture. Also, I would need bigger, looser shoes to be able to wear it with shoes. Good luck.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hammertoe caused by large bunion

My bunion has worsened over the years and caused a hammertoe. In fact if i don't wear these correctors my large toe actually crosses under the hammertoe. Most bunion correctors spread the toes which really hurts after a while and which tends to push the hammertoe up even more. I bought several different types of bunion correctors over these past two years and this is the only type that works for both. Not ideal perhaps but pulling the hammertoe down does keep the bunion from crossing underneath. I've tried gel and sock spreaders and they all hurt after a while. The splint type of corrector is really hard to position just right so doesn't help me I find. Putting on this type of corrector has become a natural part of my routine: on before socks in the morning. I do take it off at night because the elastic over the hammertoe has to be tight enough to keep the toe pulled down and at the end of the day i can see the ridge and am concerned that it might constrict blood flow a little. But i find now that my foot is uncomfortable at night without it on and i'm looking for something a bit gentler for overnight. I suspect that i'm going to end up giving my toes a breather in the evening and then donning this corrector again for overnight. I really am more comfortable now with the corrector on than without. I wear it for a couple of days and then throw it in the washer (cold or warm). Then i air dry. I can reuse multiple times. I only throw away if i find the elastic has become loosened and, instead of keeping my toe down, it relaxes and no longer pulls down. This corrector works underneath all types of shoes. With dress sandals I make a choice: wear it and see the corrector peeping around my toes just a bit, or leave it off and see my big toe and second toe all crossed over.
