Review: Outstanding!!! - My dad has late stage Alzheimers. I got this Tangram kit as a Christmas gift with the hope that it would help to keep him busy. Remarkably, he LOVES the Tangram! I wish there were additional add-on sets. On Christmas morning my daughter worked with him, teaching him how to do them. After an hour he was able to do them on his own and seemed to be enjoying it. Several days later my mom walked into the kitchen to find my dad playing with these without prompting and he was drawing the shapes on paper and writing notes! It has been remarkable. He plays for hours with these and is very entertained by them so much so that he has started trying to draw his own templates. Such a great game and well worth the investment.

I ordered this for my 101 year old Mother. She enjoys doing the puzzles...I even ordered extra puzzles to keep her somewhat occupied. There is an easy side and a more challenging side. Pieces are made of nice wood and come in a nice storage box. Good gift for an elderly person with dementia.
