The first time I read this book after taking it out of its package I cried. Then the day had arrived that I was looking forward to and dreading, our last day. During our story time I pulled out this book and instantly my voice cracked and tears started coming out. My Teaching Assistant was fighting back tears herself. I started reading the book and sure enough I cried, my students where amazed over the fact I was crying “Omg! She really had tears in her eyes” one kiddo said “We really are like a family and she does love us” another kiddo said. Y’all my students are in PreK and they understood what this book meant and shared so many found memories we had with one another during the year.
