I am guessing that the shelf life must be long because I have gone for months without completely using up a bag, and it still tastes great. By months, I am talking 6 or 7 months. **Q: Is this non instant dry milk or instant? I am looking for non instant for making yogurt** A: Nowhere on the package does it say "instant". The instructions for reconstituting call for this milk powder to be added to water and mixed thoroughly in a blender. Having said that, I use this only for yogurt making. I make my yogurt with fat free non homogenized milk. I add 3/4 cup of the milk powder per half gallon milk and use a hand whisk to blend the powder into the milk. I'm very happy with this brand. I used to buy Organic Valley brand from Amazon, but they no longer carry that. **Q: Looking at the nutritional content label, can you tell me what the serving size is and the sodium content per serving?** A: Three tablespoons powered mixed with 8oz water makes an 8oz glass of milk. Sodium per serving is 140 mg. Please note this is not an instant powdered milk. I mix it with hot water and a lot of stirring! But I also mix it with whole milk (8oz of each, powdered and whole) that has no antibiotics or hormones. I like it and am about to buy some more powdered milk.
