Set on a shelf where it won't get knocked over. Or, my preference is to pour about 1/3 of a box into a ceramic container I use only for this. It measures about 3 x 6 inches. I stir it daily. After a couple of weeks +/- it gets dumped down the sink drain followed by vinegar. Boiling water after 20 minutes to rinse.
