I have alphabet books, blocks, electronic devices, and so many other things that help but were not being used consistently by my three year old. He fell when he was one and by the age two his front tooth had to be removed. He has speech issues and needs help with his annunciation. He is extremely intelligent (I mean he knew his colors and numbers before the age 1 and was talking) but we could only understand him in context. I am a SAHM of three young ones who has meals and schedules to follow so my one-on-one time has to be balanced with a very active 1 year old who gets into everything. Despite trying to schedule speech therapy I cannot find a local speech therapist who accepts our insurance, so I decided to continue trying at home. When I bought this item, I was unsure if it would help. In fact, I was pretty sure it would just be a tool that we would use from time to time, but not consistently. However, we received it last week and started this last weekend, with about 5 days of practice once a day and I can already understand him so much better. My son adores this item. What I love is that it is a one stop shop and makes him in charge of his own work. He is very independent and gets frustrated when I try to help him. Before we were both so frustrated because I couldn't understand things that he wanted to say but were just coming out muddled. I am so proud of him and so grateful that this item exists.
