I would suggest checking Youtube for metal working videos people have made, there's bound to be some from experienced craftsman that will show you tools and how to use them for what you want to do. I only make ninety degree bends and some simple rounding or curves. I use a vise and wood or plastic pieces with clean straight edges which I clamp the metal in with the "bend at" just visible then fold it over using wood or plastic pieces large enough to cover the metal end to end so the entire piece can be bent at once. For curves I find round pipes, bolt shafts, broom handles, etc. that are the right diameter for the shape of the curve it want and carefully hand bend it around and work it until it has the correct shape. What grade of stainless is this?** A: Yes, 316 stainless. **Q: Can this be cut with scissors?** A: need snips . too thick for scissors ! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ nice sheets of stainless steel *by B***L on January 7, 2023* I haven't used any of these stainless steel sheets but they appear to be nice sheets with one side covered with protective wrap, that side has a nice mirror like polish to it. They measure 12"H X 6"W X 0.018" thick.I wanted to clear something up for prospective buyers, some reviewers have given these one star because a magnet would not stick to them causing them to believe they were junk not "real steel". In reality stainless steel has several "families" or alloy groups, some families contain grades of stainless steel that due to their make up and the process to create them have magnetic properties other families containing nickel, chromium, vanadium, molybdenum, and other metals and due to the process to create them they lose their magnetic properties. One of those families is the Austenitic family with grades of stainless like 304, 316, 317 etc. These are excellent stainless steels very resistant to rust and corrosion not junk just because a magnet won't stick to them. I believe these sheets are grade 304 stainless. If being magnetic is important to you look for alloys in the Ferritic alloy family like 409 & 430. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ They are much better than expected *by K***R on December 12, 2024* Remove the protection sheet and you could use as a mirror. The opposite side is more like a brushed finish. I like them.
