We use jumbo crayons .works very well. **Q: Are there blade refills for this sharpener available?** A: I don't think there are refills....I have two of them and I don't believe they are made to replace the blades; they don't look like the sharpener part comes out. Looks kinda glued in there or something.... **Q: will this sharpen triangular pencils?** A: i haven't tried it for triangular pencils but on back of package it states "colored pencils, round and triangular; and large round and triangular colored pencils, also Jumbo round and triangular pencils and jumbo crayons" **Q: Will this sharpen a giant 15mm diameter pencil?** A: It might.
