It definitely removes the dead skin cells and whatnot that it says that it will. It took mine longer than the recommended 20-25 minutes to dry. It was also more painful than I would have thought to peel off. The bottle says that some pain is normal, I felt like it was more than some pain haha but, like I said, it definitely took off the dead skin cells (and maybe more as well!) Side note: to me, it smells like Elmer's School Glue and that's what it looked and peeled like. The vitamin C serum seems nice, spreads easily and nicely. I like the spreading tool.
