Acne-prone (now suddely have rosaeca after discontinuing birth control) have been on so many topical and oral rx's for my skin, including doing two rounds of accutane. (I don't recommend using this while on accutane as it is a bit too drying for that.) But I used it before and afterwards with no problem. My skin has become less oily since I did accutane, and with aging I guess, so if you have normal-to-dry skin I would recommend only using it in the evening with lukewarm water so that your skin doesn't get too dry. If you have oily skin, you will love this and probably be able to tolorate it in AM & PM if you need to wash your face twice a day. I have tried benzyol peroxide, salicylic acid, and other facewashes for acne-prone skin and none have been as effective as this sulfur one has been. You really don't need a lot of it as it emulisfys well, so although it's pricy, it lasts if you are mindful of the amount you are using. 100000% worth it. I will forever purchase this. It does smell slightly of sulfur but the intensity really depends on the person. For instance I do not have a great sense of smell so this does not bother but but if you are extremely sensitive it may be too much. This cleanser is Not a makeup remover. Directions say to apply on clean skin. I use makeup removal first to completely expose my skin to the treatment. On as side note it is important to rinse this creme off very well. It happened to me that I had some left over on my neck and I didn't notice. Oz. **Q: Is this non comedogenic?** A: It does not specifically state that it is however it has many qualities and pure ingredients so educated guess would be YES. My daughter now only uses this. She's tried many that irritated her skin & did not clear it up. We did the whole Proactive treatment as well and she got better results with Kate. But everyones skin and body's chemistry is different. Just give it a try.. for at least a few wks before comparing to other products you might've tried.
