The screws even had what seemed to be a dab of lubricant on the tip. They seem very sturdy. The color and size were exactly what I expected. Putting the chairs together was very straight forward, with simple instructions. I finally bought a set of hex bits for my electric screwdriver. It really helped since some of the screws have to be screwed in more than an inch. So, assembly was pretty quick. Review: Great quality for the price - They look and feel very solid and sturdy. The overall appearance is just as high quality as chairs you’d find at a traditional furniture store for 3x the price. Seat is a good size; I’m a larger person and it’s very comfortable for me. I do notice that the seat is a little longer/deeper than your standard dining chair as well. Arrived completely undamaged. Assembly was simple if slightly finicky due to screw placement (only able to get half a turn at a time with the Allen wrench).
