If you are buying because of the lock. Just don't expect it to work well, becomes loose very fast. Apart from that, it isn't sticky and can handle normal cooking heat well enough. Pretty easy to clean. Although the black parts look soft they are pretty okay during use. If you can overlook the locking mechanism, this is a pretty good pair of tongs. I consider these an essential in every kitchen. Easy to use and plenty of uses too. Apart from the lock mechanism feels sturdy.
