I have not tried the vanilla. I mix it 50/50 with Beverly International UMP which I find to be way too sweet. The combination is just about perfect for me. Use a blender, 10 ice cubes, 10oz cold water, add the protein (1 scoop Beverly UMP +1 scoop Ascent) and blend till smooth. Casein will thicken when blended cold so this makes a nice thick shake...add more water to thin out. I use the same ratio mixed in my morning coffee using a hand blender.
