I was worried about her getting cold so I got her this and a little heating pad to go inside. She basically has not moved since I put it out there. She loves it so much. It is so cute to get to see her through the window just chilling. On it's own, it's not super warm. the waslls are pretty thin and the windows are drafty, but I duct-taped the styrofoam that the shelter was packed in to the inside walls, to insulate the inside of the shelter and added a heating pad, so now it's pretty cozy. It's not super pretty on the insice, but my cat has not complained. This cat house is very big for one little cat, but I think when it gets colder she'll appreciate having a bit of room to roam about. I'm considering it for a feral cat to protect him from storms.** A: Hi, it's better to be sealed or put a waterproof cover to keep from a storm. **Q: Is this God for mutiple ferral cats in snow ?** A: If they are friendly with eachother, I would say 4 cats will fit, maybe more if they snuggle. 2 on bottom level and 1 cat each the 2nd & 3rd level. I loaded mine with cat beds & fleece blankets, and also hung fleece around the outside to cut down on the draft. I Also put snugglesafe disc's (safe heating discs that you microwave). I didn't get snow but Temps down to about 25 deg f. My outdoor cats liked it, I'd call them strays not necessarily feral. Unless you get one that's specifically insulated, they are all made this way, and I think you could make this one work. **Q: How thick are these wood panels?
