I didn't realize it came with a book, and now I have two. **Q: Does the manual apply to #7 15 1/2 qts pressure cooker?** A: Hi Sharon, I would think so as the booklet has a lot to do with instructions, principles of canning and time to cook various foods. (My mother has an old booklet that is about 40 years old and it is pretty similar, except for some variations of recipes.) I am not sure if you already owned the 15 1/2 qts pressure cooker, but if not, I would opt for the 21 qts as it is more practical.
