Having had the filter countdown break on my last 2 Brita, thought it was time to try a mechanical countdown. Also likely to be more accurate, given it's based on actual number of times lid is opened rather than just by week. We've been using it for just over a week now, & it's hardly moved at all...so maybe the claim that filters can last 2 months will turn out to be true. The filters are easy to fit & do seem to filter more quickly. Water tastes absolutely the same as my Brita-filtered water did - water quality is just as I would hope. The huge capacity is great - but it does mean it's quite heavy, so anyone struggling to lift anything a bit heavier might need to consider that.
