I released by holding the cylinder beneath the cap and turning the lock knob on top (ccw). The plunger popped out! I added a bit of water to prime it. Water made a layer on top of the chocolate and chocolate pumps up from bottom. Ok for now. Will look out for mold like others have pointed out. May pump into squeeze bottles and refrigerate.
