She has at least two dozen or more types of scissors and several rotary cutters. She ordered a Madam Sew rotary cutter for Christmas and loved it. The gleam in her eye when she saw this cordless electric scissor unit inspired me to surprise her with one. She has only had it for about a week now and already sings it’s praises. She still uses her many different scissors (I don’t quite understand why she has so many) and her rotary cutters. But when it comes to those long cuts or the tedious cutting up of denim jeans destined for another quilt, she now grabs this electric scissor unit and wonders why she didn’t buy one of these years ago. She has a bit of arthritis in her hands and they ache after her long days working on custom quilts. These scissors make it so simple and easy for her to do long cuts (see photo of her cutting excess quilt backing off with just the simple push of a button rather than repeatedly squeezing scissor blades together for each 5” cut—genius). This scissor unit now sits on her cutting table right next to her other cutting tools so she can quickly grab the right tool when needed. This was not only a win for her, but also a win for me with perfect surprise gift. The right tool does make a difference.P.S.
