I was treated very well by customer support and will continue to recommend APC's products as they will stand by their products warranties and will ensure their customers are taken care of. Very happy that I purchased this product from APC, even if my particular unit experienced an uncommon failure. ***End Edit*** Surge protection and battery backup for my personal computer at home. So far I have only needed the battery backup once for a power outage, and it handled it like a champ. Power went out, but my computer stayed on to allow me to save my work and shut down properly. The on screen display showed me that, with my current hardware could run on the battery for about 40 minutes before shutting down, which is great.
