Review: Great quality & Airtight - I am all about DIY, so using a wet & dry vacuum I tried to make my own dust extraction device for my carpentry workshop power tools and soon discovered that a large plastic dustbin & lid were just not airtight enough for the job. This purchase is a heavy duty plastic container and lid with a metal ratchet strap, which has provided me with the perfect container to catch my sawdust waste, I am able to insert a plastic bin liner inside for easier emptying, without losing the necessary vacuum seal, I believe that it would be perfect for storing or moving liquids and solids alike and is robust enough to withstand shipping.

**Q: Can you store acid in this?**
A: I don’t actually know as I store dried food in them but the lining is very thick. I’d ask the manufacturer if I were you

**Q: Can 2 100mm plastic connectors be fitted into the lid to allow it to be used as dust collector between table saw and vac?**
A: It needs a cyclonic separator and a vacuum release valve if it is to be used as you intend.   The seperator is needed otherwise the sawdust will be sucked in and straight out. The release valve stops the barrel collapsing  if the suction tube becomes blocked

**Q: What is the little red tab for please. Does one have to remove it to seal the lid to the barrel?**
A: I don't know what the red tab is for. It is not required for the barrel to be used. I assume that it is so customers can distinguish between food grade contents and non-food grade contents.
