The controls are easy to use, set up and cleanup are very easy and the clear lid fits snugly. It is nice looking and performs very well for sauteing, pan frying and it also works easily when frying things like fried chicken or fish and chips. I have not used it for braising meats, but I have no doubt at all that it would accomplish this task effortlessly. It has a non-stick surface, so DO NOT use metal utensils or metal cleaning pads on it!!! I have had mine for 4 years now and it shows no signs of wear or tear - just treat it gently, clean it with respect & love and it will last you a long time.
