I've always felt their cushioned inner soles were superior. This time I ordered some boots for general wear and hiking -- and I was disappointed. The materials and construction feel like they were made in Indonesia (which they are). Lacing the boot tightly still does not provide the ankle support I expect. And my left boot toe box has an odd crease which has created a blister on the top of one of my toes. Most troubling is the lack of adequate padding/support in the inner sole -- it is NOT cushioned as I expected, and the boots do not provide the sort of comfort I anticipate from Ariat.
