They are a synthetic material, however they have catnip on them and my cat still enjoys these. They are slightly bigger than the typical black and white mice that are made out of real rabbit fur. My cat is hysterical as she carries these bigger mice around in her mouth. They are a multicolored variety pack, and for the price they were a good deal. They must have cat nip in then because my cat is attracted to them. Saki, the Siamese, recommends them but she prefers the toy mice made out of real animal fur, buy these will do:). She still runs and plays fetch with these. We have to keep buying more because she hides them in the house and we can’t find them. She does manage to rip the tails off.
