Review: Not for securing plastic bulbs to ceramic tree - A good super glue in a small, easy to use tube for many uses; but it did not work for my project…keeping those little plastic bulbs in a ceramic Christmas tree. Guessing the two surfaces need to make a more flat/solid contact. The instructions indicate that it will work for the 2 materials I was using it on; but perhaps because there are tiny, irregular gaps between the bulbs and slots…it prevented solid contact, causing insufficient surface adhesion. The “bulbs” were somewhat adhered; but they wiggled like a loose tooth. I even removed and reapplied them, using more generous application, with the same results.

Product worked very well - no complaints. Here's the reason for the switch. For months thereafter, every time I used that same tube of Loctite, it was like I was using it for the first time. I cannot tell you how many tubes of super glue of various brands - including Krazy - that I have had to toss out long before they were used up due to them drying out and despite my attention to detail when sealing and storing them. I actually used an entire tube of Loctite - not a drop left - before discarding - and placing the order I am reviewing today. EXCELLENT PRODUCT. Wish it hadn't taken me so long to discover it but I am really glad I eventually did.

**Q: Is it waterproof?**
A: I think if properly apply all glued pieces will waterproof.

**Q: Is this glue safe inside aquariums?**
A: This is aquarium safe. Gel glues made from “cyanoacryLate”are what you’re looking for. Look at any reef glue ingredients and that’s what you’ll see. If it has anything else in it, avoid using it.

**Q: Will it glue crystal?**
A: Thank you for the question. Loctite Super Glue Gel may or may not be well suited for use on crystals. Loctite Glass Glue is the more suitable product however, the pieces must fit perfectly together without any gaps. The success will also depend on the amount of available bonding surface and the amount of stress assembled pieces may be subjected to.

**Q: Will it work in a rattlesnake rattle?**
A: My rattlesnake does’n t like super glue.

### ⭐ Limited infomation provided: be aware and careful

I've used many Loctite products. Almost all with success. In this case, I bought the product for future use, as I do with many other types of glue, especially specialty glues and super-type glues. Turns out this particular two-part glue has a major shelf life limitation. Go past that shelf life and the small tube of glue hardens and is unusable. Nowhere in the description on Amazon or on their packaging do they explain the shelf life limitation. When I complained to the company I was told that I needed to go to their Tecnical Data Sheets. I wonder how many purchasers do that before buying their product. Turns out ALL their products have shelf life limitations but nothing is disclosed unless you first do some major research. They've got to be kidding! Overall, I like most Loctite products and use them. But now I need to be more cautious about when to purchase them. The date code is stamped on the bottom of the crimp on the tubes. Check it out and see if you can be sure what the shelf life date is. Or is the number strictly for Loctite's purposes? Boo to you, Loctite.
