**Q: What is the maximum lift?**
A: At this web page:  www.hydrofarm.com/p/AAPW550  it says that it is rated "Static Head (ft) 7.9".  So if I understand correctly, that is sorta the "max lift" number.  At 7.9 feet, the water stops going up, so this will work at anything lower than that... but the taller, the slower.  http://www.pumpfundamentals.com/what%20is%20head.htm

**Q: can you put a hose on the intake side of the pump for a filter?**
A: Yes, once you take the filter assembly off, you'll find 3/4" NPT thread (standard American 3/4"). I bought a 3/4" npt to hose thread adapter.

**Q: what size tubing or hose does it take, and is it powerful enough for a waterfall box?**
A: Mine came with several sizes of hose attachments. It goes from 1/2" to 1".  It would have to be a small box and the height. I ran a rain garden with one and the rules I go by is for every hundred GPH you can go up a foot but the higher you go the less flow. Mine is only 2 foot up into an upper pool and I get about a foot wide over flow about 2" deep. I hope this help.

**Q: how high will it pump**
A: I built solar heater for pool.  300’ of half inch tubing.  Pump unable to pump through the hose. I had to buy 1/3 hp motor.
