Review: Excellent replacement for shower door. Make sure to ALIGN magnets. - I have a 25 year old shower door that stopped staying closed. Then pieces of the magnetic strip started breaking off and falling out. I was worried I would need a new door. Instead, I ordered these strips. It was a tight fit getting them to slide in. I didn't want to loosen them too much but I found a bit of liquid soap worked well. The magnet works so well I have to put a bit of pressure now, to get the door to open. I am going to use caps now. Please don't think I'm shouting. I just want everyone to know ... These strips look identical. They are polarized down one side. There is a small groove in the rubber to indicate this. WHEN HUNG THE GROOVE ON THE DOOR PIECE AND THE GROOVE ON THE FRAME PIECE NEED TO BE ON OPPOSITE SIDES. If you feel the magnet is weak or not holding double check that you have not accidentally installed them groove to groove.

I see reviews where people don't seem to understand this... before you install it test which way they must install and if it seems like they are not attracting towards each other, flip ONE around.

**Q: I just got mine today and it doesn’t seem to have a sticky or adhesive side so I’m not sure how to install. Will someone please advise?…**
A: Start at the top and slide it into the channel.  You will need some needle nose pliers to pull it along.  If the fit is tight you could use some dish soap to lubricate the channel.

**Q: Will this work on Royal Shower Door?**
A: Yes I used this magnet on my shower door.   It was very easy to install.  The old magnet no longer kept the door closed.   This works perfectly.

**Q: What is the width of this item?**
A: Use Tools to slide it into the channel.

**Q: Is there a tool to get the magnetic strip into the ridge of the shower door?**
A: I did not need a tool. It was a light friction fit. Slid right in with just slight effort.

Profile was not an exact match, but seals well. Length was just shy of 75", but long enough for my door. If you need the full length, be aware. If not replacing both strips, don't trust the groove. Check polarity against side that's staying. In my case, groove of old and new had to be on same side to work. Good value, would buy this again if needed.
