It's a pretty easy buckle if the fit is loose enough. **Q: will my cat easily be able to slip out?** A: We have an 11 lb cat and we get the xxs for her. We tried the xs but it was way to easy for her to back out of. She can back out of the xs but not easily. If she starts backing out of it we just calm her down, so she isn't trying to get out of it.
