My daughter was born a preemie and I noticed she would get very bad allergies when during allergy season. And it was almost every season. It would get so bad that I had to purchase a breathing machine to help her breathe. I took her to her pediatrician and was referred to an allergist which prescribed several medications including a steroid for one month. She never got sick but she was taking several meds and did gain a little weight from the steroid. I didn’t want to keep her on so many meds all the time so when a friend told me about horehound I immediately purchased it. I noticed the difference right away. I was shocked because before giving her horehound I had taken her to a pulmonologist but he couldn’t find anything wrong with her. Her pediatrician said she had asthma bc she was born a preemie. But I couldn’t accept this and I felt like I needed to keep trying to find a remedy for her. She was sick quite often but once I gave her horehound with a little juice 3 times a day I saw that she was getting better. It does work. But you have to give it to your child right when you hear a cough or sneeze or they complain about not feeling good. Because if you wait it may or may not work. A couple of times I waited bc I ran out and had to order more. When I did receive it and give to her I noticed she would get worse and it would develop into fever, an infection , ear infection etc. which was my fault so I learned to listen for her cough or sneeze or weather. Used to I would need to take a round of prednisone to get over my lung issues after a cold...wish I had discovered this years ago! I do not know if horehound helps the asthma that constricts the lungs, but it sure works for the asthma from inflammation.
