The strap is "cushy neoprene," it has a Velcro adjuster, and to me the actual sling feels like a lightweight polyester or poly-cotton blend. The care instructions are to wash with cold water and mild detergent and lay flat to dry. If there is any latex in it, I don't know where they put it. (Note: I still have the original packaging and it doesn't say anything about latex.)
