So when you use it at night, if it's recharged from light by any source, it would glow, but if you keep it out of light for long time, it would fade away and then the brightness is not enough to look at the time. It still glows, very subtle, but you have to bring the wrist close to your face to see the time. But i would recommend get other watch if you're going to use it at night. It's a field watch and during daytime, it's perfect and looks beautiful. Given the price, It's good, but value for money, i don't think so. You can get better alternative like Timex Expedition in offer for 3.2k which has press to glow function, leather strap, but smaller dial than this.
