Review: Unique and Old World Looking - A very unique old world looking clock and it works well. Had one for manyyears until my grandson knocked it off the wall and broke it. Fortunately, I was able to get a replacement because they seem to have been discontinued. But it is a very unique clock, perfect for a den or an office.

I have to put my ear right up to it to hear it tick. I'm super sensitive to sounds like clocks ticking at night when I'm trying to sleep, so it was really important that this clock be quiet! It is, so I'm very happy with it. The only thing that I don't like is that the hands are a bit flimsy. They bend easily and you have to bend them back carefully. This was only a problem while it was sitting on my desk though before I hung it up. Obviously, I can't accidentally hit the hands while it's on the wall, so it's fine now and looks great hanging up there. I really hope it never ever falls, though. It's pretty heavy for a clock, so I'm sure some damage would be done. Be sure to secure this clock to the wall very well!

This was out of stock everywhere and then popped back in stock 12/17/12 and though they offered only 1 shipping option it still arrived on 12/24/12 after crossing the country with a cute "please rush in time for Christmas" sticker on it! Needless to say I was overjoyed and so was my wife who received it as a gift. I love that the clock is silent (I HATE clocks that tick) and that it's made from some kind of plaster/cement and seems sturdy. It looks great in our TV room.
