Review: Flashes on with any movement - We get coyotes running through our neighborhood occasionally, so I ordered these motion sensor lights to scare them off since they're not supposed to like sudden motion or lights. I'm able to move them around and they work great. I even ordered another set and so far, so good. They're well made and work as described. I recommend these to anyone, even for security reasons if you have outdoor cameras to deter anyone from your property.
Review: Cheaply made, but main parts needed work well - Update: They sent two new ones when complained on stem, new ones stem not a problem so must have been sent old model? Impressed, recommend as primary unit (the light and solar) very reliable and very bright, and very good value. OLD ONE: Other reviews had same problem, cheaply made, screws do not work. I did not use super glue one did (good idea!) but used duck tape. Screws to hold at an angle just are low quality. But..... the lights are very bright, the 3 options work, charges well, and so if you put in ground the way you want (with ducked up taping),, does it matter? Would I pay double to have a better base unit? No, so while the motion detector and brightness is outstanding, one would have to argue these are a good buy because the primary intended use works well. I use for motion detector to scare deer away from eating pine tree, doubt the deer offended by some duck tape. I move the solar panel by slanting angle in ground, not by screw as designed.

**Q: Are these hard to put together? Is the light a bright daylight?**
A: It is so easy to put together, only one step. Putting the head and the stick together will do.

**Q: How do you like it for just for a motion sensor?**
A: AloftSun Solar Motion Sensor Outdoor Lights offer three smart lighting modes, in the video you can see it works very well.

Mode 1 - Motion Sensor+Dim Light Mode:
Press the power button at 1st time, the lights will flash once and then enter a Dim-light Mode. When it detects motions, it will enter into a Bright-light Mode, and will return to Dim-light Mode in 30 seconds later if it detects no new motions.

Mode 2 – Stay on Medium+Bright Light Mode:
Press the power button at 2nd time, then the lights will flash for 2 times and enter into a Medium Light Stay-on Mode.

Mode 3 - Motion Sensor+Bright Light Mode:
Press the power button at 3rd time, the lights will flash for 3 times and then go off. When it detects motions, it enters into a Bright light Mode and will automatically go off in 30 seconds if no new motion sensing is detected.

**Q: My yard has partial sunlight, maybe 1/2 the day the solar panels would get full sun. Will that be enough for the motion lights?**
A: We had ours 7 months now.  We live in southeast PA which has had a lot of unusually, dark, wet days this year.  It's true that the lights would get a little dimmer after a series of dark days but they've always pulled through and given us the safety light we need on the steps at night.  Ours are in almost-full sun, though.  But I think they'd work with partial daylight.  If they don't you can always return them to Amazon.

**Q: How many lumens?**
A: Hello, thank you so much for your interest in our lights, please kindly note that the brightness of the solar landscape lights is not usually indicated by lumen values, but they are bright enough to illuminate the landscape, garden, etc.

Finally set these up and they are very bright and unobtrusive. One arrived broken - The button to turn it on was totally missing.
