I ran a little test and every time I plugged it in, my cat's ears perked back and he started meowing uncomfortably. No comment on if these work for their purpose but just be aware your pets (dogs and cats) can hear this. Not happy. I guess I should have been a responsible internet purchaser and did a little research rather than trusting the seller. I unplugged a nightlight and plugged it in and it sparked and melted some of the plastic.
