We used on a door where one side is plush carpet and the other side is hardwood. This only blocks air/smells from the bottom of the door, but that doesn’t mean smells can’t enter from the top or sides. **Q: What does 1.9” mean? Is it 1 3/4 inches or it is just slightly below 2”?** A: Do not know where you get 1.9”. Size is 1.6” ( approx 1 1/2” diameter of sponge insert) by 34” (long for wide this of door).
