## Questions & Answers

**Q: I bough these and had them cut. They open my door and turn the ignition but will not start the car. It’s it supposed to start without programming?**
A: No it is not suppose to start. The missing piece is that you have to have someone to pair the key to the cars Transponder. I am in this same boat I have a new key now that does everything but start the car. 2005 R50 Mini. I called the dealer and they will not touch it.

**Q: Could I use this as a key to unlock and lock the car?**
A: Yes you can but but you must get it programed.  My suggestion would be to glue it around the edges after the key is programmed.  My key kept opening and the whole mother board was lost.  So now the key does not work only to open  door.  I wont't be ordering again for  I'm out of the cost of the key and the cost of programing. ($200)

**Q: Can the transceiver chip be removed along with the circuit board to a new shell that has no electronic components at all?**
A: Yes, remember to use locksmith's programming.

**Q: will it open and start  a bmw x3 2007 model?**
A: Not sure if it will work for a 2007, but I didn’t have any success with a 2004.  Got it programmed, key cut, and could open the doors.  Initially, it would open and lock the doors remotely, but then I started getting electrical issues.  Needed to replace it with a dealer-issued key.  Perhaps you will have better luck.
