This thoughtful blend features Black Cumin and Horehound, herbs traditionally used to help maintain normal airway function and comfortable breathing. Respir-Gold supports the lungs and respiratory tract by helping promote the flow of air and helping maintain the normal balance of secretions in the airways. It also supports a healthy immune response, including histamine regulation, to help promote normal, open airways and overall respiratory wellness. Ingredients Black Cumin seed (Nigella sativa), Horehound aerial parts (Marrubium vulgare), Grindelia flowering aerial parts (Grindelia spp.), Boswellia gum (Boswellia spp.), English Ivy (Hedera helix). Inactive ingredients: Deionized water, natural bacon flavor, vegetable glycerin. Directions Administer product twice daily. Can be given during or after mealtime. 10 lb and under: 0.5 ml, twice daily. 11 - 20 lb: 1.0 ml, twice daily. 21 - 40 lb: 1.5 ml, twice daily. 41 - 60 lb: 2.0 ml, twice daily. 61 - 80 lb: 3.0 ml, twice daily. 81 - 100 lb: 3.5 ml, twice daily. Over 100 lb: 4.0 ml, twice daily. Shake well. Does not require refrigeration.CAUTIONS: If animal's condition worsens or does not improve, stop product administration and consult your veterinarian. Do not use during pregnancy. Administer during or after the animal has eaten to reduce incidence of gastrointestinal upset. A friend asked me to help find something natural to support their elderly cat’s breathing, which has become a bit wheezy lately. This seemed like a thoughtful option with a mix of herbs and no harsh ingredients, so we gave it a try over a couple of weeks. The liquid is easy to use and doesn’t smell too strong – which is important when you’re dealing with a fussy cat who can detect medicine a mile off. It mixes into food quite well, and thankfully didn’t put her off eating. It also didn’t cause any noticeable side effects, which is reassuring. In terms of effectiveness, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. There’s been a small improvement in how often she wheezes or sounds snuffly, but it’s subtle rather than life-changing. It may be better used alongside other things rather than as a standalone fix. It’s on the pricier side, so I’m not 100% sure it’s something you'd want to keep buying long term unless you’re seeing clear results. Still, it’s a gentle, natural option that might help some pets more than others. Just don’t expect miracles.
