The seller seems to have provided honest information on the product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works Very Well, Stays Very Hot Quite a While After Turning Off *by O***E on November 16, 2022* This hot plate works very well and as expected. The cord is also a good solid quality plug that inspires confidence for the long haul. The design of the on/off and temperature control is excellent. The heating surface is a great size and the hot-plate footing is solid even with a good size heavy pot. The only negative is just how long the burner stays VERY hot. To give you an idea, I boiled a 2 quart pan of water on it to make sure things were working. After that came to a boil, I turned off and unplugged the hot-plate, emptied the water into the sink, rinsed the pan in cold water to cool the pan off and filled it with cold water. I then placed the cooled pan half filled with cold water back on the hot-plate. The residual heat lasted long enough to heat the water to a point it was very uncomfortable to touch! I emptied the pan again, filled with cold water again, there was *still* enough heat to warm the half filled pot *again*.
